Delays & Jetlag

The first destination of the Blockchain World Tour is behind us. The Los Angeles Crypto Invest Summit gave us an amazing insight into the crypto community on the West coast. Having discussed our product with so many people, it was a huge reward to receive so much positive feedback from people who not only saw a need for our product but also saw blockchain technology as a great evolution for the money transfer industry.

However, LA is now behind us and we are on our way to our next destination, on the other side of the globe, Dubai. Having never been to Dubai, this is something I’m really looking forward to. Only one downside; the 30-hour journey. We flew from LAX to London Heathrow (a casual 11-hour flight), spent 5 hours at London Heathrow, flew a further 7 hours to Dubai and then spent 3 hours getting to the hotel. To top it all off, we were left with 4 hours to sleep before the event the next day. Not that I’m complaining.

I’d heard that Dubai was a futuristic metropolis, but somehow, when seeing the endless skyline of LED lit skyscrapers, this seemed like an understatement. As far as cities go, Dubai is among the most beautiful I’ve seen. After few hours of sleep, we are on our way to the Global Blockchain Summit. It’s exciting to know that, in a city which has developed and grown so quickly, cryptocurrency was becoming a hot topic. In Dubai, whether it’s sustainable cities or record-breaking skyscrapers, futuristic technologies are pursued with no compromise.

Given that cryptocurrency and Dubai both share a huge growth and rapid development, attracting people from around the globe, it’s fantastic to see the UAE government embracing the technology. Especially when so many other government bodies are suppressing it. Needless to say, we’re all excited to get to meet the crypto fanatics in the area and explore the beautiful city.
